Vayechi – Hamalach Hagoeil VIII-Bet Yosef

“May the angel who redeems me from all evil bless the lads, and may my name be declared upon them, and the names of my forefathers Abraham and Isaac, and may they proliferate abundantly like fish within the land.” (Genesis 48:16)

Just as God first sent an angel to guide and direct me until I merited to receive direct prophecy, so too, may your children merit an angel who will direct them in their spiritual development so that they too can attain the level of prophecy. (Derashot Rabbeinu Yosef Karo)
