Tu Bishvat – Day 1

The Kedushat Levi (Likkutim page 477) offers the following thoughts about the month of Shevat: Tu Bi’shevat is the beginning of the preparation for Pesach, which, in turn, is the preparation for the Revelation at Sinai. Tu Bi’shevat, then, is actually the beginning of the preparation for Torah. This is why the Book of Deuteronomy, which is also referred to as “Mishna Torah” – The Review of Torah, began on the month of Shevat. There’s more: Day 2 tomorrow.
