“If one indulges his servant from youth, he will end up being ruled by him (Proverbs 29:21).” This verse describes our battle with the Evil Inclination: his job is to be a “servant from youth,” to challenge us to grow, and to point out the areas on which we need to work. However if one indulges this “servant” from youth, “he will end up being ruled by him.”
