The Search: With Acts of Tzedaka

Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of kindness, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek God, until He comes and teaches righteousness to you (Hosea 10:12).”

One who plants, does so with faith that what he plants will grow. So, too, each act of Tzedaka must be performed with faith that it will bear fruit (Ohev Yisrael). The fruit of a person’s acts of righteousness will be that God will allow him to feel that God is actively involved in his life, “until He comes,” and will, “teach righteousness to him.” Each act of Tzedaka, if performed with this level of faith, will be an act of Seeking God!
