Amidah-Sustenance-The Merit to Receive

A Chassid petitioned the Chortkover to grant him his blessing so that his son might be born to his wife. After the Rabbi had pronounced the blessing, the Chassid informed him that he had been blessed already several times by the Rebbe, but no child had as yet been born. The Rabbi commented, “May God assist you to gain the merit whereby my blessing may come to you in an hour acceptable to Him!”
