Amidah-Slonim-The Seeds of Salvation

The 28th of Adar is the Yahrtzeit of Rav Mordechai Kastelanitz of Lecovitz, the father of the Slonim Chassidic dynasty: The Kobriner visited his teacher, Rabbi Mordechai of Lecovitz, on Rosh Chodesh Elul. The Lecovitzer handed him a piece of fruit from Israel, and said to him, paraphrasing, “Go in this, your might, and save Israel (Judges 6:14),” “Go, you, with this symbol of the rejuvenation of the Land of Israel, and with the strength derived from it, labor for the salvation of Israel.” [Ohr Yesharim, page 164]
