Rosh Hashana Prayers: Blow The Shofar – First Night

“Blow the shofar at the moon’s renewal, at the appointed time for our festive day. Because it is a decree for Israel, a judgment day for the Lord of Jacob.” (Psalms 81:4-5)

Although we will not blow the Shofar until tomorrow morning, we begin to prepare with the Amidah that follows.

Kavanah:
I declare my intention to use my Amidah to prepare for tomorrow’s blowing of the Shofar.
