Prayer Skills: Regel Yesharah: Kavanot: “Ani”

The 17th of Adar is the Yahrtzeit of Rabbi Gedaliah Lipshutz, author of Regel Yesharah, an anthology of Kabbalistic and Chassidic teachings. He died on February 24, 1826.

“Ei-l Nekamot Hashem (psalms 94:1),” “The Power of Retribution,” has the initials of “ANI”: “A” “N” “Y” = I

As does: “Emunim Notzar Hashem (Psalms 31:24),” “God preserves the righteous,”

And, as does: “Eretz Natina Yevulah (Psalms 67:7),” “The earth will have yielded its produce.”

Each Ani, God saying, “I,” represents a different aspect of God: Retribution, Protection, and Source of Blessing.

It is God’s insistence on justice, through His Power of Retribution, that protects the righteous, and allows blessings to be showered on us.

A person  with understanding will understand how to use this Kavanah. (Regel Yesharah)
