Amidah-Radomsk-Gathering the Exiles

The 29th of Adar is the Yahrtzeit of Rav Shlomo Rabinowitz of Radomsk, first Rebbe of the Radomsk dynasty: Many Chassidim who had heard of the piety and holiness of the Radomsker, visited him on the eve of Shavuot. The Radomsker declined to receive them and departed in order to visit the Kozmirer Rebbe for the Festival. The latter reproved him for leaving his guests, and asked him to remember the example of Moshe, the faithful Shepherd of Israel.

“But Rabbi,” responded the Radomsker, “Moshe went to Sinai and the Jews followed him. Why, then, do not my visitors follow me here?”

The Kozmirer appreciated the compliment, and permitted his guest to remain (Bet Shlomo, page 31).

Pray that God will gather us into Israel by placing there people we desire to follow as the people followed Moshe. This is why the blessing of Restoring Judges immediately follows this blessing of the Ingathering of Exiles.
