Nisan-Perfecting Our Speech XV-Chernobyl



Rabbi Nachum of Chernobyl would often say, “My mouth is like a peddler’s knapsack. It can offer adornments as well as needles. That which you wish to receive depends upon your behavior (Yachas Chernobyl, page 2)

 

iGrow-Spiritual Tools: It is not enough to focus on our speech; we must practice refined behavior so that we hear the adornments in other people’s words, rather than the needles.

Haggadah: We “Begin with negative, and switch to positive,” to practice finding the positive around us and in other people’s words.
