Nisan-Fighting the Fire of Anger III



The Chozeh of Lublin asked his wife to arrange for the preparations of the evening meal earlier than usual, inasmuch as he wished to have more time for the performance of a holy deed.

 

It chanced that the supper was laid later rather than earlier than usual.

The Chozeh said, “It would be natural for me to scold the people of my household for disobeying me. But I wished to gain time to please God. Shall I displease Him by becoming angry, and thereby doubling my loss? (Niflaot HaChozeh Lublin, page 21)
