Amidah: Ma’avor Yabok: Refa’ainu

The 25th of Tammuz is the Yahrtzeit of Rav Aharon Berachia (ben Moshe) of Modina (1639). A student of the Rema. He was the author of Maavar Yabok, a collection of mitzvahs related to bikur cholim and everything having to do with the dead until burial.

My favorite thought from this Sefer: One should practice how to pray in front of an ill person for his healing when praying the blessing of Refa’ainu! This will make his Refa’ainu all the more powerful, even as he fulfills the Mitzvah of Visiting the Ill while praying the Amidah.
