Iyun Tefillah – Blessing of Shema II



“Hashem Tziva-ot,” is derived from “Tzav,” which indicates a unifying force.  As in, “Deliberately pull out some for her from the heaps – tzevatim.” (Ruth 2:16)  It also reflects “will, or desire” as in “Tzivitun,” the Aramaic translation of “to desire.”
“Hashem Tzivaot,” reflects the Power that created all from a Unity with the desire to reunify.
