Iggra D’Kallah: Shemot



The Dinover also wrote the Iggra D’Kallah: God, in His compassion, allowed the servitude to develop in extended stages. It began with the death of Joseph, when the Jews lost their honored position in Egypt. After that, the remaining brothers died, at which point, the Egyptians, knowing that Israel lacked a powerful leader, began to cajole the Jews with soft words. Only after the passing of that entire generation, that had arrived in Egypt with Jacob, the actual hard labor began.
