Hallel Yom Yerushalayim: Paragraph Seven

How will the nations of the world, so filled with hatred now, sing when they witness the completion of Jerusalem’s redemption?

Rabbi Yochanan said: Every acacia tree that was taken by the invaders from Jerusalem will be restored to it by the Holy One, blessed be He, in time to come, as it says, “I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia tree (Isaiah 41:19),” and ‘wilderness’ means Jerusalem, as it is written, “Zion is become a wilderness (64:9).” (Rosh Hashanah 23a)

“All you nations; Praise God!

Sing compliments, all you peoples!

For His kindness overpowers us, and God’s Truth is forever.
