Hachodesh-Beyond Definition

Every definition of God engenders heresy; definition is spiritual heresy. Even defining Intellect and Will, and even the notion of Divinity itself and the term “God,” constitute definition. If not for the keen awareness that all these are but sparkling flashes of that which transcends definition, these too would engender heresy. (Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak haKohen Kook; Orot)
