Geulat Yisrael: The Candle of Insight

The 30th of Shevat is the Yahrtzeit of Rav Moshe of Zaloshin, author of Mishpat Tzedek, Tikkun Shabbos, and Geulas Yisrael (1788-1831). In 1815, he was appointed leader of the chassidic community in Zaloshin.

“Just as it is impossible to travel somewhere without directions, so too, it is impossible to take full advantage of a book without understanding its message and mission.”

When one has a new insight into Torah, a candle is lit in his soul. The illumination will guide him in his spiritual development and allow him to access more such light and illumination.

Therefore, when you are blessed with an insight, no matter how insignificant it may seem to you, grab it, share it, write it down, and the candle will be nourished and will light the path for your soul in the World to Come.
