The Reality of Prayer II: God as the Source

The reality of prayer exists whether there is a mitzvah of Prayer or not. The Bible is replete with people praying and addressing God. We therefore know that He does in fact listen. Once we have established that, it becomes inevitable that someone, who in addition to that knowledge is aware that God is the only source of fulfilling his needs and desires, will pray.

We pray to God because only God has the ability, as the Source of Existence, to answer our prayers.
