Festival Prayers-Succot Kavanot-Psalm 19

“For the Conductor; a song of David. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the expanse of the sky tells of His handiwork (Psalms 19:1–2).” The open spaces in the sukkah roofs are to allow us to see the heavens. The sukkah empowers us from with in the sanctity of its walls to not only see the heavens but to discern how they declare God’s glory and how the sky speaks of His handiwork.
