Festival Prayers-Succot Kavanot-Psalm 121

“A Song of Ascents. I raise my eyes to the mountains; from where will my help come (to see Psalms 121:1)?” When we raise our “eyes to the mountains,” we should have the following verse in mind: “Jerusalem is surrounded by mountains, and God surrounds His people, from now and forever (Psalms 125:2).” When we to look the mountains we are searching for the sense of God surrounding His people, perfectly represented by the sukkah in which we sit.
