Amidah-Da’at-Finding Divinity
The 4th of Nisan is the Yahrtzeit of Rav Yochanan Twersky of Rachmistrivka (1816-1895), son of the Maggid of Chernobyl. 1. Divinity within a man is limited because a man is limited in his ability to receive it. 2. Divinity has no limit, but finite man cannot comprehend this.
3. Divinity created matter so that man, composed of matter and soul, may have a conception of it. It follows, therefore, that all matter may be likened to a parable by means of which Divinity can be understood. (Fun Rebin’s Hauf, page 33)
Segue from Kedusha-Holiness: Grant us the wisdom to discern Divinity in ourselves, and the world around us.
Haggadah: Kadeish: We declare our intention to use our limited inner divinity to discover the secrets of the Haggadah, with its message of the Divine Hand guiding history and the world.
