Countdown to Chanuka 28

One should have in mind when lighting the Chanukah candles that when he lowers his hand to light the Menorah, he should lower between 3 and 10 Tefachim – fists. This will remind him of the connection between the higher Chesed, Gevurah and Tiferet and the lower Netzach, Hod and Yesod. (Pri Eitz Chaim, Shaar Chanukah)

The Ari is teaching us that Chanukah was a time when we used Itra’uta D’litata to stir Itra’uta D’l’eila – We stirred the upper worlds through our actions on this world. We created a reality that was open to miracles by choosing to fight for our beliefs despite the overwhelming odds.

We created a Spiritual reality in Heaven when we established this new festival.

Chanukah is a time when we have extra Divine Abundance that empowers our Torah study, Mitzvot and prayers to stir the highest worlds.

Application:
Stop and consider, each time we learn or perform a Mitzvah, especially that of lighting the Chanukah candles, that what we are about to do, if done with proper awareness and intention, can create new realities in the Highest Worlds.
