Blessings of Shema Evening-Slonim-Ki Padah Hashem

The 28th of Adar is the Yahrtzeit of Rav Mordechai Kastelanitz of Lecovitz, the father of the Slonim Chassidic dynasty. “For God has ransomed Jacob and He redeems him from the hand of him that is stronger than he (Jeremiah 31:11).” This adversary is the Evil Inclination in a person. He becomes strong and overpowering when man makes no struggle against him, and allows him to grow within him, though it lies with in a person’s power to weaken him. Despite this, however, God redeems the person from him. (Ohr Yesharim, page 20)
