It is almost impossible to retain the intense focus and passion of prayer throughout the day. However, there is a way for a person to know if his prayer was successful: If his prayer left him with a sense of humility and awe so that when he looks back at the opportunity he had when praying he is thrilled and frightened at the same time, he knows that his prayer reached all the way to the highest heavens.
