Amidah Preparation
– I am davening because I believe that You listen to me, one small, insignificant creation among the countless details of creation.
– I am davening because I believe that You care.
– I am davening because I believe that You have the ability to give me all that I ask for.
– I am davening because I believe in miracles.
– I am davening because I know that Tefillah is effective.
– I am davening with the fear that comes from realizing that all is in Your hands.
– I am davening with the fear that I have disappointed You with my actions, even my performance of Your Mitzvot. Yet I rejoice that You still allow me to face You and daven.
– I plead with You to open my lips to pray to You appropriately.
– I plead with You for the ability to express all that is in my heart.
– I plead with you for the necessary level of awareness of Your existence.
– I plead with You for the level of fear that is beyond my human abilities.
– I plead with You for the level of love that is beyond my human abilities
– I plead with You to protect me from distraction while davening
– I plead with You for a successful prayer.
– I plead with You that I am able to take advantage of all the intentions of the Anshei Knesset HaGedolah in the Tefillah.
