Écrit par Machberes Avodas Hashem

Three-Weeks-Churban-Mourning-TempleIn the period of the First Temple, we had the “Seeing Eye” of the Prophets. In the period of the Second Temple, we had the “Hearing Ear” of the Divine Voice - Bat Kol. Now, in exile, we resort to the third item mentioned by Rabbi Yehudah haNassi in Pirkei Avot (2:1): “And all your deeds are written in a book.” By consulting our Holy Books, we are able to give counsel. (Butzinah deNehorah haShalem, page 72)

iAttach-Amidah- In the fourth blessing of the Amidah, that of Knowledge, Wisdom, and Understanding, we pray during the period of the Three Weeks for the gift of being able to find proper guidance and counsel in our Holy Books.

iGrow-Spiritual Tools: We must use all our Torah study during the Three Weeks with the specific goal of finding the necessary wisdom in our Holy Books to find the solution to this extended exile.
