Adar Joy-A Portion in the World to Come Print E-mail

Adar-Joy-Happiness-YahrtzeitThe 17th of Adar is the Yahrtzeit of Rav Yitzchak (ben Avraham Yaakov) Friedman of Boyan, founder of the Boyaner Chasidim, author of Pachad Yitzchak (1849-1917). He was the third son the Sadigurer Rebbe. He was also a grandson of the Ruzhiner (from His father) and a grandson of the Beis Aron of Karlin (from His mother).

The Seer of Lublin said of the Ari HaKadosh that he had two chief merits; that he made plain and translucent the mysteries of the Zohar, and that he placed rejoicing foremost in the service of God, whereby he acquired sufficient merit to be deemed worthy of a site of Elijah.

The Rhiziner said, “I envy the Chassidim of Chernowitz, because their cheery temper makes them enjoy this world, and marks them for a share in the World to Come.” (Gemeinde de Chassidim, page 68)
