Metzorah: Tiferet Shlomo: Preserving Our Sanctity Print E-mail
Written by Machberes Avodas Hashem

MetzorahThe 29th of Adar is the Yahrtzeit of Rav Shlomo (Dov Tzvi Hakohen) Rabinowitz of Radomsk, first Rebbe of the Radomsk dynasty (1803-1866). “They shall not die as a result of their impurity if they contaminate My Tabernacle that is among them (Vayikra 15:31).” The people of Israel are warned to guard themselves from all sorts of impurity, for it is not only that they will suffer the consequences of impurity, “they shall not die,” but they also cause the Divine Presence to leave, “if they contaminate My Mishkan that is among them.” It is for this that we keep ourselves distant from any sorts of impurity and attach ourselves to holiness, for that is the key of maintaining the Divine Presence. (Tiferet Shlomo, Metzorah)
