Pachad Yitzchak Boyan: Finding Answers Print E-mail
Written by Machberes Avodas Hashem

Important QuestionsThe 17th of Adar is the Yahrtzeit of Rav Yitzchak (ben Avraham Yaakov) Friedman of Boyan, the Pachad Yitzchak (1849-1917).

The Pachad Yitzchak is a remarkable work dealing with 100 difficult questions. He elaborates in his introduction on the necessity of searching for answers to all our questions. We must first acknowledge our questions and then begin a quest too find answers. A soul that has unanswered questions cannot be at peace and properly grow in its Service of God.

My Uncle Noach zt"l used to say that a person should always have at least three big questions ready to ask a wise person so that if he meets such a person he will be ready to take advantage of his wisdom.

We forget the importance of our questions, acknowledging them, refining them, and then the search for answers.
